Moving your body is essential for a healthy lifestyle, and the benefits of doing so are numerous! From improved heart health to better posture and balance, there are countless advantages to regularly getting up and moving.
I know I personally have not been doing this as consistently as I should be so in March I am hosting a Butts & Gut challenge for 30 days- 30 days of squats, top health tips and a healthy morning greens drink. I find it is easier to add in a simple healthy habit initially and build up from there- also, nothing beats doing things with friends! (or at least some accountability buddies!)
You can pop over to my Facebook Community or Page for more on how to get involved if it is of interest!
This blog post will explore some of the many benefits of moving your body, and why it is important to do so for your physical and mental wellbeing. The next blog we will cover why Gut Health combined with movement is a lush combo!
One of the most important benefits of moving your body is improved heart (cardiovascular) health. Regular physical activity helps to increase your heart rate and burn calories, which in turn can reduce your risk of developing heart disease.
Additionally, it can help to reduce your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and body fat, all of which can improve the overall health of your heart.
Moving your body can also help to improve your posture and balance. Regular exercise can help to strengthen your core muscles, which help to support your spine and maintain your posture.
Additionally, regular physical activity can help to improve your balance, coordination, and agility. This can help to reduce your risk of falls and injuries, while also improving your overall physical performance.
Finally, regular physical activity can help to improve your mental wellbeing. Exercise can help to reduce stress and anxiety, while also improving your mood and energy levels. Additionally, it can help to increase your self-confidence and self-esteem, and can even help to improve your sleep quality.
In summary moving your body is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Not only does it provide physical health benefits, but it can also help to improve your mental wellbeing. So make sure to stay active and keep your body moving!
If getting moving more really scares you start with 30 squats per day- assisted with a chair or wall if needed or practice NEAT exercise (I bed a few of you will be off to google that now- I promise you'll be impressed by its simplicity)
Looking forward to sharing more with you next time on gut health and movement combined!
